Some globes represent specific buuildings rather then towns and cities themselves

The British Museum covers  human history, art and culture located in  London. It has 8 million items and  is the largest museum in the world. It began in 1753

and recently had 6 million visitors in a year.

The building has a  Greek Revival style structure.

Harrods is a luxury department store in London, It was originally started by Charles Digby Harrod in 1905 but replaced his father's store which burnt down in 1881. It is the largest department store in Europe with about 15 million visitors a year.

The O2 Arena, (The O2), is an indoor arena and unique London landmark. It started in its current form in 2007. It is the ninth-largest building in the world at least by volume with a diameter. When first opened in 1999 it was known as the Millenium Dome and contained an exhibition celebrating 2000.

The Natural History Museum Has 80 million items covering  botany, entomology, mineralogy, palaeontology and zoology including specimens collected by Charles Dinosaur skeletons are impressive and the skeleton of a blue whale hangs from the ceiling.the globe celebrates the cathedral type interior with Dippy the dinosaur, a replica of a Diplodocus skeleton.

The Botanic Gardens at Kew, south-west London, are an important botanical research institution with over 2 million visitors to its vast gardens each year. The Temperate House, shown in thge globe was built in 1863, and is reserved for the largest plants.
